Bookety is an online booking system for travelers, which provides access to thousands of tours in more than 2,000 destinations worldwide.
The project's core goal was to create a user-friendly booking system that provides travelers with the most detailed and variable options for planning a trip.
To accomplish this requirement, we examined Viator, a popular booking system that is recognized globally. We used the detailed API documentation offered by this platform while developing Bookety from scratch.
The booking platform was designed and developed from scratch. The project included choosing a tech stack, front- and back-end development, quality assurance, testing, and post-launch product management.

The home page contains multiple blocks with information on top destinations, popular searches, and closest attractions. Also, there is a search bar so travelers can choose particular areas they are interested in, filter and sort options by date, price, time, duration, rating, etc. Each offer’s page includes photos, reviews, sights, and other variables.
Each user has a profile and can sign up using multiple quick and secure options, such as via Google/Facebook accounts. Besides, travelers can edit or deactivate their accounts, create wishlists and bookmarks, change their own national currency, book tours, etc.
Users can select desired tours and book/reserve them. Reservation payments can be postponed up to two days before the chosen tour starts. Alternatively, users can cancel their bookings with a chance to get a full refund if it happens during the free cancellation date. The booking/cancellation process is highly intuitive and user-friendly, offering advice and detailed instructions.
